Second, you act like we're in favor of just handing people blank checks and let people live lavish lifestyles on welfare. It's like you've taken a basic idea, changed it entirely, and then made a caricature of it.

Third, if you're seeing fraud, report it. These departments exist for a reason. But I suspect you don't have any hard evidence of fraud, and just make sweeping assumptions every time you see an EBT card. Things aren't true simply because you wish they were true.

The topic at hand is Trump making Mexico pay for a wall. Your insulting my intelligence just shows your ignorance, and the ignorance of progressives in general. The GOP miscalculated. They misread the pendulum. The GOP has been a rubber stamp for the Democratic Party these past eight years. We've handed them legislative majorities in both houses, yet the minority party still runs the table. What has the GOP done with hits majorities? Quash dissent.

I'm not alone in my stance that there is no difference between the two major parties. So if we are not going to elect an anti-establishment candidate, I want a Democrat to be in charge of it while things fall apart. If that's Hillary, so be it. The system can collapse on her watch.

I agree that there is not real difference between the 2 parties any longer, but I'm not that eager to stand by and allow the entire system to collapse, without giving it a good ole college try of averting it.

Wanting it to collapse might sound like cynicism or defeatism, but I don't see it that way. We can't keep propping it the way we are. We simply can't afford it. We've taken the "full faith and credit of the U.S, Treasury" as far as we possibly can, and there's no more water in the well.

So what does that leave? We have to fix it. And we can go easy, or we can go hard.

You think the children in this country can go easy. I don't. I think it's going to be hard as hell.

And it will happen soon. As crappy as things are here, they're many times worse throughout much of the world. It is going to to come to a head, and no mistake.

I don't see it in terms of good or bad. I see it as inevitable and necessary. Civilization is on a downward spiral, and it has to hit rock bottom. Then it will rebuild.

 

It's sad to finally see that your cup is half empty.
